Amanda Townsend

Born in Australia, Amanda Townsend has travelled the world with her husband and four children, a journey that has taken her from Australia to England and almost everywhere in-between. A life that has unfolded, almost fatalistically at times, rather than being planned. Like many on the nomadic path, her adventures have been both stimulating and turbulent, providing a dramatic backdrop against which to raise her family. In her first book series, The Light Saga, Townsend turns to experiences close to home to explore the challenges of life as a child of multiple cultures. Townsend also draws on her experiences while exploring the dynamic of large families, brought closer together through the challenges of the nomadic lifestyle. She currently resides in Papua New Guinea with her husband and two rescue cats to fill the nest, while the children are at university and boarding school in England.
