Christopher Stitt

Christopher Stitt is a security and crisis-leadership expert, former Supervisory Special Agent with the U.S. Diplomatic Security Service, and Founder/CEO of CrisisLead, LLC. The author of Scaling Pyramids: Leadership Lessons from a Mid-Level Bureaucrat (Routledge, 2025), he has led security programs on four continents, twice served as Chief of Global Emergency Planning at the State Department, and teaches at George Mason University. A Fellow of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management, he holds multiple professional certifications and speaks, publishes, and consults on risk, continuity, leadership, and building high-performing cultures.

He was named a “2025 Top 40 Thought Leader in Safety and Security” by the Life Safety Alliance.
