Dr. Nick E. Gilewski

Dr. Nick E. Gilewski, PhD, MBA, MSIT, PMP, CMRP, ACC, is a distinguished executive leader, author, educator, consultant and coach (Organizational and Personal) with more than 25 years of experience in engineering, energy, and manufacturing. Currently serving as Executive Engineering Manager at Samsung Austin Semiconductor, he oversees the operation of multi-megawatt electrical systems across two advanced semiconductor facilities, ensuring 24/7 reliability, regulatory compliance, and sustainability through bulk power and renewable energy procurement.

His career reflects a rare blend of technical mastery and leadership acumen. Prior to joining Samsung, Dr. Gilewski held key positions with Consolidated Edison, the New York State Power Authority, Globe Specialty Metals, and Milk-Bone where he drove large-scale operational improvements, production, automation, outage coordination, and cost-saving initiatives in highly regulated environments. His leadership extends across both union and non-union workforces, where he has successfully managed skilled trades, implemented Lean Six Sigma practices, and navigated complex labor dynamics.

Beyond industry, Dr. Gilewski is deeply committed to education and leadership. As an Adjunct Professor at Buffalo State College, he has taught data analytics, electrical engineering, and renewable energy, equipping students with practical knowledge tied to real-world challenges. His scholarship and industry insight have produced multiple publications, most notably his potential #1 best-selling book, Leading Unionized Workforces in the Age of AI (2025), which offers strategic guidance for leaders managing skilled and unskilled labor in the era of technological disruption (AI).

Dr. Gilewski’s academic achievements include a PhD in Leadership and Policy from Niagara University, an MBA from Medaille College, a Master’s in Industrial Engineering Technology from SUNY Buffalo, and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering Technology. He also holds premier professional certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP), Six Sigma Green Belt, and is recognized as an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Coaching Federation.
