Simone de Bartolo

Simone de Bartolo is an Architect, Art historian and writer, known for his interdisciplinary approach to art history that combines academic research and popularisation. He has published several monographs, essays and articles in specialist journals, in which he shares his passion for art as a tool for understanding the past and the present. His latest publications include: Bari '900 tra eclettismo e Liberty (Bari in the 20th century between eclecticism and Art Nouveau, 2019), Le Chiese di Bari tra '800 e '900 (The Churches of Bari between the 19th and 20th centuries, 2021), Bari. Itinerari del Ventennio (2021), Arte e artisti a Bari (2023), Palazzi di Roma (2023), Gino Boccasile (2024), Architettura del Ventennio in Puglia (2024), Arte e Fascismo. Guida all’Arte del Ventennio (2025). He has published the e-book Amazon KDP “She painted the World. Stories of Women Artists” (Italian version “Artemisia e le altre. Storie di Donne Artiste”). He is the editor of the blog Arte Ventennio.
