Kellye H. Slaggert

Kellye H. Slaggert, M.A./LCMHC is a mental health counselor in private practice in North Carolina. She received her master’s degree in clinical psychology from Western Michigan University. She has specialized training in working with children and families, neurodevelopmental disorders, DIR/Floortime ®, CBT, anxiety disorders, emotional regulation, and parent coaching. She is passionate about helping children and their families maximize a child’s developmental potential while creating strong parent-child relationships. Volunteer time over the years includes coaching Special Olympics in downhill skiing, summer camp opportunities for children with developmental differences, and serving on a community mental health board.

In addition to numerous customized short stories to support children’s understanding of various aspects of mental health, she co-authored The Intellectual and Developmental Disability Treatment Planner.

When she is not working, Kellye enjoys spending time with her family, reading, researching, and being outside.
