Matthew James Duffy is a chef, baker, and educator who has spent more than 15 years working in Michelin-starred kitchens and with celebrated chef Daniel Boulud. After returning to Canada, he taught bread and pastry for six years at Centennial College in Toronto, where he also helped shape the Food Media program.
Today, Matthew shares his love of bread through his online courses, newsletter, and YouTube channel, reaching a community of bakers around the world. Known for his approachable teaching style, he makes even the most complex loaves accessible. When he’s not baking, he’s a devoted husband and father of two, often exploring food and flavour with his family. Bread Etc. is his first cookbook.
