Audrey Mary Brooks lives with her family and a mad Border Terrier in Derbyshire, England.

Her hobbies are writing and gardening, both of which can be used as an excuse to avoid housework.

She has found herself unable to write anything serious and so leaves that to those who can. She writes cosy crimes and romantic comedies. Her favourite periods to write about are the Regency era and the 1950s. Her contemporary stories are always based on the minutiae of every day life.
