RICARDO ROSA REIS BIOGRAPHY

Ricardo Rosa Reis's career in the real estate market is the result of a family legacy spanning generations, combined with decades of study, practical experience, and a constant pursuit of innovation.

Family Roots and Influences

Born into a family deeply connected to the sector, Ricardo is the son of Fernando Coelho de Almeida Reis – a developer, builder, professor at UFPR, and a PhD in Hydraulics from the University of Portugal – and Liana Rosa Reis, an excellent financial manager known for her sense of fairness and efficiency. Since childhood, he has followed the challenges and opportunities of the market, including the first major real estate crisis of the 1980s, caused by the oil crisis.

His family legacy also extends to his great-grandfather, Pompeu Reis, a visionary real estate investor who, with discipline and strategy, built a wealth that has endured for over a century.

Academic and Professional Background

Ricardo began his career as a real estate broker (Creci 1984) and, driven by a thirst for knowledge, pursued a multidisciplinary education:

- Civil Engineering – CREA 24.367/PR (UFPR, 1986) and Computer Science (PUC-PR) while working.

- Production Engineering (USP, 1995), MBA in Finance (IBMEC, 1998).

- International specializations: Global Economy Overview (Financial Times Knowledge, NY, 2001) and Real Estate Management (Harvard Business School, 2013).

- Law – OAB 46.576/PR (Unibrasil, 2007), with an MBA/LLM in Corporate Law (IBMEC, 2011), where he developed the MBA in Real Estate (IBMEC-EBS).

Practical Experience and Entrepreneurship

He began working at the family construction company at age 13, working as an office boy, draftsman, and broker, until becoming a building manager at age 18 (1988). In 1990, he founded Engeflex Construções e Empreendimentos Imobiliários, in partnership with engineer and lawyer Dr. Gilberto Munhoz Schwartz, cementing a career spanning over 40 years in the industry, with residential, commercial, hotel, and mixed-use projects.

International Activity and Innovation

He lived in the US during the real estate crisis of the 1990s, working as a broker in New York and later working in development in Miami Beach (Collins Ave.). A pioneer, he imported technologies such as In-Situ Molded Cellular Concrete for sustainable construction and was awarded the Master Real Estate Award for the Obra Prima project, developed in partnership with 27 construction companies at Sinducon-PR.

Consulting, Education, and Promotion

In recent years, he has dedicated himself to strategic consulting for large companies such as Camargo Correa, Rossi Residencial, and Seagull Participações, in addition to giving lectures and courses at institutions such as Infomoney, XP Investimentos, UP, FIA, IBMEC, and the University of Paris, where he coordinates the MBA in Real Estate.

In the communications field, he stands out for the Real Estate Program (Infomoney), the Construcast podcast, and the Metro Quadrado column on CBN Curitiba, sharing insights on investments, management, and market trends.
