A former freelance contributor to official Lucasfilm fan publications, Pete brings decades of fandom and media insight to his debut book, Who Owns the Myth? Star Wars, Fandom, and the Soul of the Saga.

Part memoir, part pop culture study, the book explores how Star Wars became the first myth of the mass media age—a living story whose meaning isn’t just inherited, but constantly debated, reshaped, and sometimes weaponized. It’s a passionate, thoughtful look at how fandom reflects our culture, our conflicts, and ourselves.

When he's not writing, Pete hosts the Around the Galaxy podcast and its weekly live show, blending smart takes with a healthy dose of humor. He lives in rural New Jersey with his family, a flock of chickens, a few goats, and enough board games to start a rebellion. He’s also a bar band bassist and a die-hard fan of hockey, baseball, and a good intellectual throwdown.
