Rhian Gwen

Rhian Gwen is an educator, headteacher, and mother whose work is shaped by both professional expertise and lived experience of grief.

After the death of her daughter, Rhian discovered the profound power of gentle practices such as reflection, meditation, creativity, and connection with nature. This journey led her to create the resources she wished had existed for children and families — tools that support emotional understanding, healing, and resilience during life’s most challenging moments.

With a strong understanding of children’s emotional development and trauma-informed practice, Rhian’s work is dedicated to helping children feel safe, understood, and supported. Her books gently guide children through grief, big feelings, and change, while also inviting them into imaginative, nature-based adventures inspired by the rhythms of Mother Earth.

Through picture books, journals, meditations, and seasonal activity guides, Rhian Gwen offers comfort, hope, and practical support. Her work reminds young hearts — and the adults who care for them — that love continues beyond loss, that feelings can be met with kindness, and that nature’s cycles can teach us about growth, renewal, and living with wonder.
