D. A. Pracht is a U.S. Army combat veteran, author, and researcher whose life and writing are shaped by resilience, faith, and service. Raised in Southern Illinois, he served in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom before being wounded in an IED blast in Afghanistan in 2009. Retiring as a Staff Sergeant, he carried forward the memory of fallen brothers into every endeavor.
