Lorrie Brown

Lorrie Brown grew up on a farm in Texas surrounded by animals, sparking a lifelong love of wildlife, nature, and the special bond between people and animals.

Today, Lorrie shares that love with her husband, Jason, their children, grandchild, and the many animals that have become part of their family. In 2020, Jason created a network of nature trails on their property as a special gift for Lorrie. Before long, her daily walks attracted an enthusiastic group of companions—including family dogs and cats, rescued deer, and other wildlife.

Those trails, now known as the Brown Hiking Trails, became a place where family memories, animal adventures, and imagination came together. Many of Lorrie’s stories are inspired by the real animals and experiences found right outside her door, including beloved characters such as Buttons, Biscuit, and Benny.

Through her children’s books, Lorrie hopes to share her love of animals, family, kindness, and the simple joy of exploring the natural world.
