Dr. Frank L. Hammonds is a seasoned servant of the Lord with over four decades of faithful ministry. He preached his first sermon at just 13 years old and was ordained as an Elder in 1981 by Bishop William O. Blakely. That same year, he married his beloved wife, with whom he shares one daughter, born in 1982.
In 1986, he answered God’s call to establish his first church, launching a lifelong apostolic work. Known for his pioneering spirit, Dr. Hammonds has planted and pastored churches across the country and has been a spiritual father to many. In 2002, he was ordained as an Apostle by Apostle John Eckhardt, confirming his mantle to build, establish, and strengthen churches from the ground up.
His ministry has taken him across denominational lines and into pulpits across the nation, where he has evangelized with passion, prophetic insight, and deep biblical teaching. Among the many highlights of his journey was the opportunity to minister under the leadership of the late Apostle Richard D. Henton of Chicago, IL—a moment he cherishes as an honor. He was also profoundly impacted by the late Dr. Myles Munroe, who prayed a personal blessing and impartation over his life and ministry.
In 2025, Dr. Hammonds was awarded an honoris causa Doctor of Philosophy in Spiritual Formation by Dr. Goron E. Bradshaw, recognizing his lifetime of work in discipling, mentoring, and forming champions for the Kingdom.
Apostolic in authority, pastoral in heart, and prophetic in vision, Dr. Hammonds continues to pour into the next generation of leaders, praying that the mantle on his life would fall upon those called to carry the fire forward.
The Making of a Champion is a reflection of his life’s message—that true greatness is forged in surrender, obedience, and faithfulness to God’s call.
