Ulla Hyldgaard

Ulla Hyldgaard (b. 1973) holds a Master’s degree in Music Therapy and is also trained in music education methodology. Through her company Mindful Music, she has worked for many years as an independent therapist and educator.

Her professional focus has been on supporting people living with dementia, autism, brain injuries, and developmental disabilities. She also works with children, helping them find calm and focus through rhythm and presence-based exercises, and she trains teachers, educators, and care professionals in these methods.

Having experienced periods of anxiety earlier in life, Ulla developed a deep interest in how people can find rest within themselves—an interest that also informs her writing.

She currently works near Copenhagen, training staff in elder care and leading the development of Tunebutler Health Care, a digital music solution that helps the elderly stimulate memory and enhance quality of life through songs from their younger years.
