Celina Belotti was born with stories in her head in São Paulo, Brazil.
Even as a little girl, she didn’t just have one imaginary friend — she had a whole cast of characters who followed her around wherever she went.
Celina is a Brazilian writer who crossed the ocean to complete a master’s in Social Sciences at the LSE. She now lives in London with her cat, Trufa, who has the same quietly enigmatic presence as Bill Murray. They’re based in a friendly, newly revived part of the city, where fish-shaped graffiti brightens the buildings (there’s a little river nearby, too).
She works in marketing and tech, and in her free time she’s often out exploring London’s whimsical corners — queer events, hidden bookshops, community spaces — always on the lookout for secret stories.
Her book, The Wild & Beyond, is a true coming-of-age novel — a glimpse through a keyhole. On the other side, feelings run high, questions pile up, and everything is still taking shape. The result? A book without an ending… because everything is a beginning.
