Michael Lee Kipp is an emerging voice in historical nonfiction, inspired by his deep ancestral roots in New York’s Hudson Valley, dating back to the 1600s. His interest in uncovering and preserving family stories led to years of dedicated research and writing. His debut book, Remember Me: The Civil War Through the Eyes of a Union Soldier from the 159th Regiment, New York State Volunteers, released in April 2025, offers a compelling and intimate look at the Civil War through the letters of his ancestor, John W. Mambert. Michael lives in Florida with his wife and enjoys spending time with family and friends.
