Maite Rodriguez is a children’s book author, social worker, and educator with a background in special education. An immigrant from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, Maite draws on her personal and professional experiences to create heartfelt stories that inspire, empower, and reflect the diverse journeys of children and families. Her debut book was inspired by her daughter’s courageous battle with sickle cell disease and is a tribute to strength, love, and hope.
Now living in Long Island, New York with her husband and two daughters, Maite enjoys reading, gardening, relaxing at the beach, and spending time with friends and family. Through her writing, she continues her mission to educate, uplift, and offer comfort to young readers through the power of storytelling.
