Dr. Supriya Bhardwaj holds a Ph.D. in Life Sciences from the PGIMER, Chandigarh, where her research focuses on molecular biology. Her scientific work explores how biology operates at the cellular level—from skin to brain, from structure to memory.
Beyond the laboratory, she writes stories. Her debut novel, The Keeper of Forgotten Rivers, drew from folklore and the natural world to explore themes of legacy and connection. The Paradoxical Choice of Consciousness emerged from a different kind of question—one that lives at the intersection of her molecular biology research and her fascination with what makes us human: What happens when we understand memory well enough to change it?
She finds inspiration on Himalayan trails and believes that both science and storytelling are ways of seeking the same thing—understanding the hidden threads that connect us to each other and the world around us.
"From molecular biology to myth and imagination, I write stories that explore what makes us human—whether that's encoded in our DNA or our memories."
