Bill graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1977 as a biologist and immediately joined the RAF as a pilot. After 20 years serving in the UK, Cyprus, Norway and the USA, he retired and took up teaching for three years before moving into industrial training. Since 2000, he has been developing and delivering courses in a wide range of topics, particularly in programming, software testing, business analysis and artifical intelligence.
Bill has a deep interest in the history of security services, the Jacobite Rebellion and Victorian social history. In his spare time, he enjoys reading diaries of the period and painting in watercolour.
But he still writes far too much code for his own good.
