Sarah Mesle

Sarah Mesle (PhD, Northwestern) is a professor of writing at the University of Southern California. The former Senior Humanities Editor of the Los Angeles Review of books, she is also the co-founder and editor of the digital magazine Avidly and the eight books in the NYU Press short book series Avidly Reads. Her writing about gender, genre, culture, and the arts and crafts of storytelling has appeared in venues ranging from InStyle Magazine to Studies in American Fiction to the New York Times Magazine.
