Veeksha Vagmita

Veeksha Vagmita likes to weave words into artistic creations that have a visceral quality. She doesn't hesitate in imbuing her works with her rawest, innermost emotions, seeking to stir her readers with books written as much with the heart as with the head. She likes her works to throb with feelings, whether it is heart-wrenching sorrow or the sheer delight stemming from sizzling comedy. Her very being is poured into her works, breathing life into them. Her debut poetry book was Papa: Surviving the Loss: A Poem--a poetic narrative delving into the depths of grief upon losing your rock and refuge. Her second book is a darkly comic fantasy, titled Words Come Alive: Mounting a Love Campaign. She is equally adept at writing prose and poetry. She holds a PhD in English (literature). She's reviewed many books for Scroll besides contributing articles/poetry to The Wire, The Sunday Guardian and ThePrint. She has served as Senior Copy Editor at The Times of India and edited several books. She keeps writing, so you won't regret frequently looking for her next work. Every work will be crafted to perfection even if the books are released in fairly quick succession. Vagmita knows how to keep her writing impeccable while consistently providing her readers with something new. Needless to say, there will be more books coming their way. So, it's best to stay tuned!
