Amy Beth Auerbach

Amy Beth Auerbach is the daughter of Dr. Stevanne Auerbach, internationally known as “Dr. Toy,” and the founder of Heirloom Patchwork Press, an independent publishing imprint dedicated to stitching stories and preserving legacies. As the editor and publisher of *Amy’s Butterfly Garden*, Amy lovingly brought her mother’s unpublished 1992 manuscript to life, overseeing every stage of the project from illustration and design to formatting, production, and its January 2026 publication.

Amy established Heirloom Patchwork Press to honor her mother’s extensive literary legacy while creating a home for meaningful works exploring nature, neurodiversity, resilience, belonging, and the connections that shape our lives. *Amy’s Butterfly Garden* is the first title in a planned four-part series inspired by the real-life bond Amy shared with her mother and the backyard garden they created together.

A writer, storyteller, publisher, and advocate, Amy is passionate about preserving personal and family histories and bringing overlooked stories into the light. Her interests extend beyond publishing to the experiences of neurodivergent people, the natural world, and the many ways stories can connect generations.

Amy lives in Nevada with her young adult son. When she is not working on publishing and business projects, she enjoys participating in community events, discovering local cuisines, traveling and exploring new places, and spending time in nature. Her most recent travels have included a visit to Salt Lake City. Through her work and everyday life, Amy continues to explore the stories, places, people, and connections that make each life uniquely meaningful.
