I was born in 1971, literally grew up in pubs, as my Mum and Dad were both licensees of several pubs in and around York. This is where the fruit machine bug first bit me - I first learned how to beat one of the machines, Cash Counter, in 1988, which changed my life forever. I studied at the University of Teesside, and became a journalist in 1996, first in York, then the East end of London, where I discovered my team, West Ham. From 2001, I worked as a journalist for 17 years in Brussels, Belgium, before returning to the UK in 2018. This is my first book, but there will be more...
