Aurélie S. Ky

Aurélie S. Ky writes playful children’s books that blend humor, science, and curiosity. Born in Paris, France, she later spent over a decade in the USA and Canada, collecting frequent flyer miles and baffling airport security with her stash of French snacks.

With a background in neuroscience and psychology, Aurélie loves turning brain science into stories that even the tiniest humans can enjoy (yes, babies need dopamine too, especially during a high-velocity pea launch). She’s taught French and English to kids and adults, sometimes at the same time, and no one has fully recovered.

When not writing, she’s hiking, camping, or podcasting about multicultural education, usually with more enthusiasm than the guidelines allow. Back in Paris, she’s close to family, friends, and a suspicious number of Asian restaurants. Her favorite fruit is durian, a choice that delights her and horrifies anyone within sniffing distance.

She insists it’s delicious. Others remain unconvinced.
