UZAIR SUHAIMI

**Uzair Suhaimi** is an independent scholar and author whose work explores the intersections of Islamic philosophy, Qur'anic thought, spirituality, ethics, and civilizational renewal.

Before devoting himself more fully to writing and independent scholarship, he spent three decades as a statistician with BPS–Statistics Indonesia and later worked with the International Labour Organization (ILO). His intellectual journey—from understanding societies through empirical evidence to exploring deeper questions of meaning, knowledge, and human flourishing—continues to shape his distinctive approach.

His books form part of **BERMULA**, a broader intellectual and spiritual initiative dedicated to recovering the foundations of human understanding and civilizational life. Drawing on the Islamic intellectual tradition while engaging contemporary philosophy, science, and technology, his writings explore the relationship between faith and reason, revelation and human agency, spiritual transformation and ethical responsibility.

His work addresses questions ranging from attention, prayer, and the inner life to artificial intelligence, ecological responsibility, justice, and the future of civilization.

Across these diverse themes runs a guiding conviction: **knowledge should enlarge human understanding, wisdom should deepen human humility, and revelation should give both their direction.**

Through BERMULA, he seeks to encourage a return to *fitrah*—the primordial human disposition toward truth—and to contribute to a renewal of knowledge, wisdom, and responsible human flourishing.
