Katie Alaniz

Katie Alaniz, EdD, serves as Associate Dean for the College of Education and Behavioral Sciences Online and Director of the Center for Learning Innovations and Teaching Excellence (C-LITE) at Houston Christian University. As an educator for over two decades, Dr. Alaniz guides fellow educators as they meaningfully integrate digital tools and resources within their classrooms. Dr. Alaniz has authored or co-authored seven books. Additionally, she has delivered hundreds of educational presentations across the United States and abroad, given a TEDx Talk, and published academic articles on various topics. Her primary research interests include authentic assessment, digital learning, and instructional design.
