Scott Gelfand Ph.D. J.D.

Scott Gelfand, PhD, JD, is a certified philosophical counselor, author, and emeritus associate professor in the Department of Philosophy at Oklahoma State University. He is the founding director of OSU’s Ethics Center and served as Head of department for ten years. He’s devoted the last decade of his career to trying to better understand moral and political division in the United States as well as ways to heal or alleviate this division. His academic publications focus on a variety of issues in ethics, including theoretical ethics, biomedical ethics, and research ethics. Scott spends most of his time in Tulsa, Oklahoma, Chicago, Illinois, and Barcelona, Spain.
