Mack Ransom

Mack Pinchot Ransom is an author, artist, and lifelong adventurer. Raised in 1950s Puerto Rico when it was still a third-world island, he spent his boyhood sailing to uninhabited cays with turquoise waters and white sand beaches—sparking a passion for the sea that still defines him today.

Over the decades, Mack has lived many lives: jeweler, sculptor, house flipper, commercial salmon fisherman, homesteader, chocolatier, owner of Match Up dating service, and mortgage broker. Now retired, he resides near Seattle with a water view and a beloved cabin cruiser he pilots several times a week.

A father of two and now a grandfather, Mack brings a rich and unconventional life to his writing—infusing it with wonder, grit, and a reverence for both the natural and the mysterious.

Mack Ransom writes cinematic science fiction that explores hidden dimensions, quantum entanglement, wormholes, and the political consequences of contact with advanced non-human intelligence. His stories focus on ordinary people forced to make irreversible choices when humanity discovers it is no longer alone—or in control.

His work blends high-concept science fiction with grounded human stakes, examining how power, consent, and survival shift when ancient technologies and galactic forces intersect with modern civilization.

Mack is the author of:

Nefertiti’s Last Tear

Quantum Relays: The Scar & Halo

Quantum Relays: Darkx & Xyza
