After some years in Japan, William Leet returned to the U.S. and settled down with a tall stack of journals and began concocting stories. He has written and translated for the UCLA Journal of Asian Studies, and published essays on Japanese culture in American Athenaeum. His short stories have appeared in The Rusty Nail, Literary Orphans, Shadows Express and Fat City Review. Others have been published in Blue Lake Review and Avatar Review. Outside the Wire is his first novel.
