Guadalupe Olalde

I've always been a writer, and only over the years have I learned that it was my destiny. My stories are rooted in reality, and I've been given permission to add fantasy to them. I'm Mexican; I studied Hispanic Literature with the desire to one day be a writer, but with the doubt of whether I would achieve it. My first novel was a success; critics say my writing is spontaneous, poetic, emotional... All I know is that I write to share the stories I hold dear, to be understood, and to create art because Literature is Fine Art.

Now I'm a senior citizen, and I can see how my writing spans all my ages and those of my country. I'm also a psychologist because after so much analysis of literary characters, I had no hesitation in moving on to real-life characters.

I live in a small town in southeastern Mexico, and it was here that I found my voice.I
