Gary Collings

Gary Collings is a Christian author and retired grocery store manager who writes Scripture-rooted books for real life, especially the quiet places where people feel thirsty for hope, healing, and grace. He is the author of Still Walking, The Woman at the Well: An Unexpected Conversation, and the companion workbook An Unexpected Conversation.

After the death of his wife, Kim, Gary began journaling as a way to process grief and listen for God in the silence, work that became Still Walking, a devotional companion for those learning to take the next faithful step. His newest work invites readers into John 4 through the eyes of a quiet witness, exploring the hidden thirsts that shape our lives and the Living Water Jesus offers.

The workbook expands the journey with guided Scripture readings, journaling space, and the “twelve jars” framework, common patterns people reach for when life feels heavy or uncertain. Gary is a father of three, a Papa to eight, and now lives in Fort Worth, Texas.
