JoLyn is a Christian children’s author who delights in sharing God’s love through imaginative and meaningful stories.

Whether it is Mr. Ugly and the Terrible Raid or Mr. Ugly and the Big Messy Lie, this sweet series is heartfelt and faith-rooted and tackles real-life kid struggles of big feelings & bad choices. Each story helps kids (and parents) navigate daily struggles with humor, heart, and biblical truth and opens the door for meaningful conversations about honestly, self-control, anger, and doing what is right... even when it is hard.

Raised in Oklahoma, JoLyn is a US Navy military wife and a pilot’s wife. She homeschooled her four children; experiences that have strengthened her faith and shaped her heart for families. In addition to these joys, JoLyn and her husband have also endured the profound loss of their oldest son, a tragedy that has deepened her compassion and commitment to sharing hope and healing through her writing.

When she’s not writing, JoLyn enjoys traveling with her husband, camping, riding on the back of their motorcycle, and singing praise and worship. She believes stories are powerful tools to help children discover their identity in Christ and their special place in God’s story.
