Gitan Djeli

Gitan Djeli is a creative writer, editor and scholar of cultural studies. She is the author of unrest in the Nebulae (Duke University Press, 2026) and Red Moon at Dawn (Peepal Tree Press, 2026). Her creative writings appear in Poetry, The Funambulist, adda, Doek!, Mānoa: A Pacific Journal of International Writing, Journal for the Study of Indentureship and its Legacies, among others. Gitan Djeli has a PhD in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths, University of London.
