Hank Byrd

Hank Byrd is an author, educator, filmmaker, and award-winning screenwriter whose bold storytelling blends social commentary with genre-bending creativity. A U.S. Army veteran and proud inductee into the Circle Cinema Walk of Fame, Hank has written for major feature films including Boneyard (starring Mel Gibson and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson) and The Contract (starring Lil Duval and Gabrielle Dennis). He is also the creator of the Tubi series bLERDS. His first book, Hankisms, is a collection of original quotes and affirmations that reflect his journey and voice. Whether in the classroom or behind the camera, Hank is dedicated to amplifying Black voices, empowering young people, and crafting stories that resonate across generations.
