About the Author
Ricardo Torres was born in Santiago de Cuba and carried to the United States as an infant, when his family fled the Castro regime in search of freedom and a better life. He has proudly called America his home for fifty-eight years and has been a United States citizen for forty-eight of those years, deeply grateful for the opportunities and liberties this country has offered him.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Ricardo is the proud father of six children—three daughters and three sons—and the grandfather of seven. He has been happily married to his wife for fifteen years, finding strength and joy in the bonds of family.
Guided by a lifelong curiosity, Ricardo draws deep inspiration from the teachings of Jesus Christ. For him, these teachings are not distant promises, but living wisdom—meant to shape how we love, serve, and walk through life today. He follows Jesus’ message as a way to live with compassion, peace, and purpose in the present, rather than as a guarantee of everlasting life.
Away from the page, Ricardo finds beauty in the gentle rhythm of freshwater aquariums—a passion he has pursued on and off for forty-nine years. The quiet hum of a filter, the graceful movement of fish, and the living ecosystems he creates bring him a sense of peace and reflection.
Now settled in Dothan, Alabama, Ricardo writes with the voice of a man shaped by resilience, freedom, and personal growth. His work invites readers to pause, reflect, and discover meaning in their own journey.
