Margaretta Chalet

Margaretta Chalet is the author of several Christian novels for adults and children’s fiction. She placed third in a prestigious literary competition—albeit in a galaxy far, far away, in a small country some people couldn’t locate on a map without a hint. She also studied humanities at an equally prestigious yet blissfully obscure university. Given these impressive credentials, she is (unsurprisingly) happily married, with three children who occasionally test the limits of her sanity.

Her books include the Apocatastasis series (David’s Awakening, The Infernal Plan, The Furious God, The Prodigal Lucie, and The Last Letter of Nicolas Renard), along with related works such as Ever Unshaken—a loose sequel—and The Reconciliation of Lucifer with Christ, a companion book to the series. Other Christian novels include So Long, Rapture!

For younger readers, she wrote The Fellowship of Time, about a 17th-century church and time travel, and Pharaoh’s Seal, a story exploring creation and evolution. Her secular book for the youngest readers, Is Atlanta for Real?, follows a group of magical insects living at Stone Mountain, whose teacher doesn’t believe in the existence of Atlanta.
