With over two decades spent leading high-impact engineering teams across companies like Amazon, Mozilla, Capital One, and now Opaque Systems, Giorgio has seen technology evolve from simple scripts to sophisticated AI-driven ecosystems.

But what’s remained constant throughout his journey is his unwavering belief in people—whether that means empowering his teams, mentoring startups at MIT, or helping individuals navigate the ethical complexities of AI.

Giorgio’s path into tech started with an insatiable curiosity, the kind that made him take apart gadgets just to understand how they worked. That same curiosity led him from Rome to the global tech stage, shaping innovations in browser privacy, digital payments, Kindle rendering, and AI-powered customer experiences. His work has helped millions of people—often quietly, behind the scenes—by making technology faster, fairer, and more secure.

Despite the titles and patents, Giorgio remains grounded in his core mission: building technology that serves humans—not the other way around. As a part-time lecturer and advisor at Tacoma Community College, he thrives on learning from others just as much as teaching.

He's especially passionate about ethical AI, data sovereignty, and making sure that the next generation of technologists inherit not just powerful tools, but the wisdom to wield them with care.
