Dr. Deus Donation Masige

Eng. Dr. Deus Donation Masige is a Tanzanian environmental engineer, social thinker, and author whose work bridges technical expertise with indigenous knowledge and wisdom. Born in Kalemela village, Magu District in Tanzania’s Mwanza Region, Dr. Masige’s roots are deeply embedded in rural life, cultural heritage, and community resilience. His journey from humble beginnings to national and regional leadership embodies the very spirit of the African story—resilient, resourceful, and revolutionary.

Dr. Masige holds advanced degrees in engineering and project planning and management, and he has led numerous projects in water, sanitation, hygiene (WASH), environmental sustainability, and climate resilience across East Africa. He is the founder and Executive Director of the Tanzania Association of Environmental Engineers (TAEEs) and the visionary behind GreenTech Hub, a forward-thinking NGO championing environmental justice through African-led innovations.

His writing is both scholarly and soulful, drawing from years of research, traditional knowledge, and lived experiences. His books, including Polygamy in Practice, Wisdom of the Ancestors, Behind Closed Doors, Guardians of the Earth, Whispers of the Rain and The Lost Minds, reflect a deep commitment to reclaiming African voices and restoring indigenous identity in the face of colonial erasure.
