Ivan Richmond

Ivan Richmond is a Wiccan priest and spiritual leader. He is the author of two books, to date. Having been raised Zen Buddhist at Green Gulch, a branch of San Francisco Zen Center, he wrote his first book, Silence and Noise, on his childhood there. His father, Lew Richmond, is a Zen Buddhist priest and a disciple of Shunryu Suzuki Roshi. Ivan also has a BA in Greco-Roman Studies from Reed in Portland, Oregon, which gave him a deep appreciation for ancient Greek philosophy and religion.

In 2001, he became interested in Wicca and Neopaganism, and became a Wiccan priest in 2005. He is currently a 3rd degree in two Wiccan traditions: Gardnerian and Waxing Moon, and is the high priest of Waxing Moon Coven and Temple of Inanna and Dumuzi, as well as holding clergy credentials in the New Wiccan Church. He is a long time presenter at Pagan conventions and festivals.

His second book, the Religion of Good, focuses on how we can figure out our ethics for ourselves, through spiritual practices that help us connect with the oneness of all of us together.
