Lorraine Manzo is an author, award-winning educator and artist based in New York. Lorraine is a co-author of the international bestselling book Unbreakablle Spirit: 18 Stories of Feminine Resilience, Blessings and Renewal. With more than twenty-five years teaching experience, Lorraine has facilitated the creative process for diverse students of all ages. Lorraine is passionate about exploring the connection of body, mind and spirit through her multidisciplinary workshops. Participants are invited to enjoy expanding their skills as well as their emotional landscapes through the therapeutic benefits of writing, guided meditation, yoga and neurographic art.
Between the ages of 18 and 20, Lorraine suffered the passing of her paternal grandparents and her father. Lorraine's imaginative pursuits; journaling, writing and creating artwork were the healing methods she relied on to navigate deep loss and move forward. As a divorced mom in her late 30's, juggling the demands of working, raising her daughter and returning to college, Lorraine discovered that yoga and meditation led her to feel centered despite her chaotic schedule.
While Lorraine resides in New York, she often travels to the West Coast to spend time with her daughter and family. Lorraine enjoys taking yoga classes at a variety of locations including Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health and Times Square. You will find Lorraine writing with pen in hand at a local cafe or kayaking at a lovely Long Island beach.
Lorraine holds a Master's Degree as an Art Educator. Her short stories have been featured in popular publications including Dan's Papers and ACES magazine. Lorraine was a select writer at Finding Your Voice, Mackinac Island Writing Retreat, September 2024.
