Gary Bunker was born in Gosport, on the south coast of England. He hung around long enough to start a career in computing but left before he could set down roots, and moved to Australia at 18 years of age. He’s worked as a researcher and designer in the User Experience field for nearly thirty years, working on projects for major companies around the world.
More recently, he took up a second career in mental health and has been a practicing mental health counsellor and supervisor in the Wollongong (Illawarra) region of NSW in Australia for several years.
In his spare time he writes fiction, rhyming children’s books, and provides training and web design to other Counsellors.
Gary is passionate about making the world a better place, it’s what gets him out of bed every day. When he’s not improving digital services, he’s helping people who struggle with their mental health. Groar, the little fella he loves to bring along every now and then, keeps his nose to the grindstone and focused on writing about the most important things (Groar, that is).
