Narendra Kumar Verma - has 40 years’ experience as a Mechanical Engineer. He has worked in steel plant & Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (accessories Divn) , Lucknow for some time. He has been associated with various turnkey projects in India & abroad.e.g

(i)Baghdad Alqaim Akashat Railway Project (BAAR Project under Iraqi Republic Railways Establishment (IRRE), Baghdad, IRAQ; managed by RITES, New Delhi.

(ii) Setting up of 50 MG Diesel Locomotive Shed, Rewari /Bikaner divn. (Rewari Diesel Shed Project);

(iii)Manager (Consultant) Mechanical at Modern Coach Factory, (MCF) Lalganj, Raibereilly managed by IRCON International Limited, New Delhi.

He has been a visiting lecturer in department of Mechanical Engineering at Hewett Polytechnic, Lucknow & Supervisors Training Centre, Lucknow.

He is an Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers (India) Kolkata, also designated as Chartered Engineer (India). He has presented & published following technical papers;

(i) “Electrical Power Generation through Non-Conventional Energy Sources” at 33rd National Convention of Mechanical Engineers at The Institution of Engineers (India), Udaipur Centre during Sept 1- 2, 2017.

(ii) “Management of Municipal Solid Waste & Its Impact on Society & Environment” on Dec 27-29, 2019 during 34th Indian Engineering Congress held at International Convention Centre, Hyderabad, India. [Paper ID-(EN/062/08] (Published in Technical Volume of 34th IEC, ISBN 978-81—942561-5-1.)

(iv) Participated in Technical session of the 36th Indian Engineering Congress held in Virtual mode on Dec 15-16, 2021 organized by The Institution of Engineers (India) & presented paper entitled “Integration of AI & ML with High-Speed Compression Ignition Engines being used on Diesel locomotives of Indian Railways”. (v) Presented technical papers at National Academy of Indian Railway- NAIR (Earlier Railway Staff College Vadodara)/Gati Shakti University,Vadodara (India) entitled “Management of Accident Relief Trains” & “Bench-marking at Carriage & Wagon Workshops,Western Railway Bombay” during ‘Management Development Programme-MDP.

(vi) Imparted training to eight batches of NDRF regarding disaster management over Indian Railways.

Served at various diesel locomotive sheds in India for preventive maintenance of Diesel Locomotives as well as at N.Rly Hd.Qrs Baroda House, New Delhi(India) dealing with material management, technical suitability for procurement of various critical & imported items used for diesel locomotives.

Developed Vendors directory at Railway Hd.Qrs for procurement of material on the basis of performance of manufacturing companies/production units.

Worked at major Locomotive workshop as Dy.Chief Mechanical Engineer, independent incharge for periodic overhaul of Diesel locomotives, DEMU, Wheel shops & administrative matters.

Retired as Principal at Supervisors Training Centre, Lucknow.
