Amy Daniels

Shadow of the Dragon is award-winning author Amy Daniels' second book, self-published in February 2024, with a unique self-produced audiobook released in April 2025 featuring a main narrator and over 20 other voice actors. It is the recipient of the Literary Titan Gold Book Award of August 2025 and the Silver Award in the 2025 Global Book Awards in Fantasy - Dragons and Mythical Creatures. One True King, the audiobook version, is the winner of the 2025 Audiobook Reviewer Award in the Science Fiction - Epic category and the Literary Titan Gold Book Award in December 2025. She recently released the fourth book in the series, Sorcerer's Creed, in August 2026. The same voice actors portray the same characters, for the most part, in her Legends from Qiledara audiobook series. The first book in the series, Hidden Kingdom, recently won the Bronze 2026 Global Book Award in the Fantasy - Myth & Legend category.

Her debut novel, The Hidden Kingdom, is the first book in the series Legends from Qiledara, published in June 2023, and One True King, the third book in the series, arrived in September 2024. Amy's latest book to hit Amazon shelves, unrelated to this epic fiction series, is a children's book titled My Chemistry Teacher is a Magician! in August 2026, and she also published Animal Control, released in May 2025, and A Rare Tulip. Amy looks forward to participating in book fairs and meeting her readers (and listeners) in person.

Amy has enjoyed a long career as a French teacher, translator, and editor. Amy earned a B.A. in Music with an emphasis in vocal performance from the Conservatory of Music at the University of Missouri-Kansas City and went on to complete her M.A. in French (literature) with a graduate minor in Medieval Studies from the University of Minnesota. When she has time, she enjoys singing, composing her own songs and studying foreign languages. She has enjoyed writing her own stories since childhood. Amy looks forward to completing more stories in the future. Amy finds inspiration in all her travels, especially to European cities and castles. When she is not traveling, Amy enjoys hiking, kayaking, and growing fruits and vegetables in her garden.
