J.J. Bardy

Born in Acomb, a suburb of York, in the mid 60's in a council house to a devoted homemaker and workaholic warehouseman. Always bright, passed the 11+ exams to study at Nunthorpe Grammar School. Despite academic success, did not get the grades to go to university and spent 8 months on the dole before embarking on a long civil service career.

Nearing retirement decided to revisit the stories I started whilst unemployed. Married over 30 years to Yvonne and father to two adult boomerangs, loves sport (used to play Hockey) and visiting the world... and of course reading.

Inspirations in my life in addition to my family include Freddie Mercury (for his talent and showmanship) and a raft of authors who opened my eyes to the universe and the inner soul… Douglas Adams, Asimov, Phil K Dick, Heinlein to mention a few.
