Multi-award-winning author Cathryn deVries memorised Cinderella at age three and was hooked on stories from then on. This of course led to studying aeronautical engineering on the off-chance NASA would come calling (even though she's Australian). After an unexpected side-quest into motherhood, the forgotten dream of writing surfaced on the impulse of her creative genius of a neurodiverse daughter, who developed a hyperfixation for Dungeons and Dragons. Her spur of the moment decision to chronicle their family game grew into a fantasy trilogy. Her work is praised for its immersive world-building, and explores themes of restorative justice, empowerment, connection with earth and spirit, and finding the true self.
