Kate Santoro

Kate is a writer, mother of five and a wife for thirty years. An avid marathoner, she runs for the Boston Athletic Association Masters Division. She is a certified Health Coach and her greatest strength and passion is helping others keep going when life hurts most.

Kates voice—bold, tender, and truth-telling—comes to life in her debut book, Truth on the Run, 26.2 with a Bloody Shoe, a memoir of movement, motherhood, and the marathon of healing. With deep roots in Boston, a heart shaped by London, and a new rhythm in California, she lives by the belief that when we run with our pain, we don’t run from it—we transform it. She is a passionate writer who authentically cares about the way words affect people. She uses real language, bringing relatable perspective, humor and intimacy to reach her readers.

With a background in English, Kate was a creative writing major at Salve Regina University and has a Masters Degree in business psychology from Northeastern University. Kate is a passionate writer whose work explores the raw, often beautiful terrain where grief, endurance and growth intersect. She is lifetime Bostonian currently living in Pacific Palisades, CA with her husband and youngest two children.

A parent to five athletic children—while growing a nationwide wellness business, coaching student-athletes, and leading from the heart of her community.

She has delivered workshops and talks across schools, hospitals, and conferences nationwide, inspiring people to live better, think stronger, and grow with resilience. Through her work with Juice Plus, The Home for Little Wanderers, Stepping Strong, MGH and the Martin Richard Foundation, Kate has raised funds and spirits for causes that promote healing, health, and hope.
