Bradford William Pazant

Bradford Pazant is a historian, educator, and storyteller whose work centers Black resistance, cultural memory, and the power of truth-telling. His writing weaves poetry, history, and personal narrative into testaments of survival and liberation. A former classroom teacher and curriculum developer, Brad draws from his Southern roots and Gullah heritage to honor ancestral voices while challenging dominant narratives. His debut collection, "We Were Never Meant to Beg for Light: A Poetic Testament to Black Love, Resistance, Resilience, and Liberation," invites readers into a journey of love, grief, fire, and joy.
