RAMON GONZALEZ

Ramon D. Gonzalez is an experienced law enforcement professional with over 19 years of service. During this time he has held various duties including patrol officer, K-9 handler, patrol sergeant, investigator, lieutenant and chief of police.

Chief Gonzalez holds a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University Of Texas Rio Grande Valley (University of Texas Pan American), and a master’s degree in criminal justice leadership and management from Sam Houston State University. Chief Gonzalez is also a Marine Corps veteran.

Currently Chief Gonzalez is the Chief of Police for the City of La Joya, “The Jewel of the Rio Grande Valley.”
