David Lowell Nepsky is a multi-disciplinary broadcast journalist, photographer, and multimedia creator operating at the intersection of independent media and counter-culture art. A graduate of the USC Film School, David has spent over a decade documenting the fringes of culture, including a foundational seven-year tenure in community radio broadcasting at KOTO.FM.

​Operating under the moniker "Troublemaker Film Critic"—a title dubbed by renowned journalist Maureen Callahan—David brings an uncompromising, sharp, and historically grounded voice to contemporary cinema and alternative arts. His premium, deeply researched analysis of the film industry, empty awards campaigns, and cinematic subversion was recently featured as a headline paywalled exclusive on Maureen Callahan’s Substack, The Nerve, during its inaugural Oscar Night coverage.
