Deanna Brown

I am a single mother, university graduate, and lifelong learner who returned to school later in life. I hold a degree in Social Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice, and Sociology, and I am continuing my education while also homeschooling my child to provide a more intentional and personalized academic foundation.

As a survivor of many life experiences, I carry a depth of perspective that naturally translates into my writing. I am drawn to storytelling that reflects real emotion, complex identity, and the realities of trauma and resilience. I write through multiple characters, allowing different voices and experiences to unfold in ways that feel both honest and layered.

Writing has always been a part of who I am. I began with poetry and later created my first book as a bedtime story. For a long time, I hesitated to explore different genres out of fear of judgment, but I have learned that passion and purpose outweigh fear.

I am grateful for platforms that support independent authors and allow space for authentic storytelling. Whether my work reaches a wide audience or a small one, I take pride in sharing stories that are meaningful, intentional, and rooted in experience.
